What is the difference between staging and decorating?
Staging is the art of enhancing a property's features to create a beautiful space that buyers can envision living in. Decorating is the art of creating a beautiful space for the homeowner that reflects their personal taste.
What needs to be done to prepare for staging?
The property is ready for staging after all work, including repairs, painting, and furniture removal has been completed and the home has been thoroughly cleaned. Entry to the property must be made available to us via a lockbox, key, door code, etc., prior to our staging date. Electricity and plumbing must also be on in the home.
Because staging day involves a lot of moving parts, we do require that the property be vacated by homeowners, agents, and all contractors while our team is on site.
How is pricing determined?
The cost of staging varies from home to home. Pricing is dependent on many factors such as square footage of the home, the number of rooms to be staged, the size of the rooms, and the amount and type of furniture needed.
Can I choose the furnishings that will be used or have input on the design plan?
Because our inventory availability changes on a daily basis, the ability for agents or homeowners to pre-select or reserve furnishings is not possible. Rest assured that our team has years of experience in selecting the pieces that will best showcase the property and appeal to potential buyers.
How long does it take to stage a property?
Staging implementation is typically completed in one day. If the property is a larger one it could take two days as we like to give ourselves extra time to complete all the details.
When is the best time to stage a home?
Staging should be done before the property is listed to create a strong first impression and attract more interest from the start. However, it can be an added benefit at any point during the selling process to revitalize a listing and bring focus to its potential.
